What Can We Help With?

Appliances & brands

What We Repair

Which appliances do you repair?

We repair washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, electric ovens, electric cooktops and rangehoods. We also repair electrical components in fridges and freezers, install selected electric kitchen appliances, and provide electrical safety testing within the scope of our service.

Do you repair and re-gas fridges or freezers?

We repair electrical components and related electrical faults in fridges and freezers. We no longer carry out refrigeration-system work or re-gassing. If diagnosis suggests a refrigerant-related problem, we can explain what we have found and advise you on the appropriate next step.

Which appliance brands do you work on?

We work on many common appliance brands. Whether a particular model can be repaired depends on the fault, its age and parts availability. Include the brand and model number with your request so we can check before arranging a visit.

Do you repair gas appliances?

We repair electric appliances and the electrical components of many gas appliances, including electric ovens, elements, thermostats, ignition systems, door hinges and accessories. We do not repair gas burners, gas valves, gas pipework or other gas-related components. If the fault is gas-related, we are happy to recommend a suitably qualified gas appliance technician.

Charges & quotations

Understanding the Cost

What does the call-out charge include?

It includes travel to your location, appliance inspection, fault diagnosis and a repair quotation. Call-out charges vary by service zone; view the current zones and charges before booking.

Will I receive a quote before the repair?

Yes. We explain the diagnosed fault, recommended work and applicable costs before additional repair work proceeds.

Do I still pay the call-out fee if I don't proceed with the repair?

Yes. If you decide not to proceed after receiving your quotation, the call-out fee is payable. It covers travel to your property, inspection of the appliance, diagnosis of the fault and preparation of your repair quotation. If you choose to proceed with the repair, the call-out fee is included as part of the total quoted repair cost. If you would prefer to prepay the call-out fee, simply let us know when submitting your booking request.

Is there another call-out charge if parts are needed?

No second call-out charge applies when you accept the repair quotation within 7 days or if you have accepted a quotation and we are waiting on parts to arrive.

Do I need to pay a deposit for spare parts?

In some cases, yes. A deposit may be required for certain spare parts, especially electronic components or parts that are non-refundable to the manufacturer. Once your booking is confirmed, we will inspect the appliance and confirm whether a deposit applies. If it does, we will let you know before the part is ordered.

Appointments

Before the Visit

What information should I provide?

Please provide the appliance type, brand, model number, a clear description of the fault and a photo of the model label if available. Good information helps us prepare for the visit.

How quickly can you attend?

Appointment availability depends on the current workload, your location and the nature of the fault. We will review your request and contact you to arrange a suitable time; submitting the form does not immediately confirm an appointment.

How do I book a repair?

Complete the repair request form with your appliance and fault details. We will review the information and contact you about the next step.

Parts & repairs

After Diagnosis

What happens if replacement parts are needed?

We will explain which parts are required, their cost and any expected wait before asking whether you want to proceed. Parts availability varies by brand, model and appliance age.

Will you have the right part at the first visit?

Not always. Supplying the exact model number and a clear photo of the identification label can help us identify likely parts, but some faults must be diagnosed in person before the correct part can be confirmed.

Is every appliance worth repairing?

No. The fault, repair cost, parts availability, appliance age and general condition all matter. We will explain the practical options so you can decide whether to repair or replace it.

Service area

Where We Work

Which areas do you service?

We service Rotorua and the surrounding areas listed in our three service zones. Visit the service area page for coverage information, or contact us before booking if you are unsure which zone applies.

Why does the call-out charge vary by location?

The zones account for the different travel required to reach each location. The applicable call-out charge is shown alongside each zone.

Electrical safety testing

Testing & Tagging

Do you test and tag appliances?

Yes. Electrical safety testing is available for appliances and electrical equipment within the scope of our service.

Can I request testing for multiple appliances?

Yes. Tell us the type and approximate number of items when you submit your request, and we can discuss the work and provide an appropriate quotation.
